Supergirl, she's... well, you know Superman? Like that, but an innie, instead of an outie. She's Superman's hot cousin from Krypton. Just remember to call her back, or he won't be pleased with you. Supergirl also hangs out in Metropolis and Smallville, mainly so that writers don't have to come up with new stuff. It's Superman as a girl. Does it have to get more complicated?

Let's start at the beginning.

No, after that.
Supergirl came to Earth after Superman, but in a conveniently similar manner. It's possible she was sent to kill Superman, but he's a chill guy, and they sort of ignore that when she's not in her solo series. So, she hangs out at the Fortress of Solitude, goes to high school, smokes and drinks... you know, normal teenage stuff that you would do if you were forced to ignore the fact that you have heat vision instead of embracing it like a power-hungry maniac. A blonder version of Batgirl, but with less of a need to cover up.
Kara probably was killed by the Anti-Monitor during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, but dead superheroes are BORING. She's better now.
She spends a lot of time hanging out in the future with the Legion of Super-Heroes, because Brainiac 5 is her <singsong>boyfriend</singsong>.
Was she ever with the Teen Titans? Yeah, probably. I think we can say that.
